Havaianas was born in 1962 inspired by the first toe sandals born in Japan, the Zhori. The rice-grain sole is a tribute to the first Japanese flip flops, the soles are made by vulcanized rubber which make them very durable, non slippery, they do not smell and they are very comfortable.
